Raj Singh

Founder & CMD

Raj Singh brings to ilumina a wealth of experience in founding and managing technology startups. His previous startups include APIgee, API Gateway Software (sold to Google); StratumOne Communications, a chip maker for wide area networks (sold to Cisco); InterHDL Inc., an EDA tools maker for chip design (sold to Avant!); and Advance Logic, a Java processor company (sold to Noise Cancellation Technologies).

His bigger success was Fiberlane Communications that was later split into Cerent Systems, sold to Cisco, and Siara Systems, sold to Redback Networks. Raj was co-founder and president of Comstellar Technologies, an incubator for technology startups. Raj is the founder and a General Partner of Redwood Ventures, a technology investment venture firm.

Raj is a co-author of “Digital Design and Synthesis with Verilog HDL”, a popular textbook that used by several universities for teaching graduate level courses on chip design. Raj worked as a Scientific Officer at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Mumbai, India.

He was a General Partner and Managing Fund Manager at Sycamore Ventures, focused on investments in healthcare, including pharmaceuticals and notable innovations impacting clinical care, as well as technology.

Ritesh is a seasoned IT leader with 20+ years of experience across technical and senior management roles. As Co-Founder & CEO at ilumina, he leads innovation and delivery of scalable health tech products. He previously served as CEO of TollSecure and drove large-scale platform migration and loyalty programs at Bwin.Party, impacting 13 million users and saving €2M.

Ramesh Raskar

Ramesh Raskar is the Associate Director of MIT Media Lab, Assoc. Prof. at MIT and director of the Camera Culture group at MIT Media Lab. He has worked on special research projects at Google [X], Facebook, Apple and co-founded/advised several startups. He launched REDX.io, a platform for young innovators to explore AI-for-Impact. He frequently consults for dynamic organizations to conduct ‘SpotProbing’ exercises to spot opportunities and probe solutions.
